Introducing Clip Nugget
A desktop app that turns long recordings into vertical Shorts, rendered on your own PC.
If you record podcasts, streams or interviews, you probably have hours of footage with a few great moments buried in it. Getting them out is tedious: scrub through the recording, find the 40 seconds worth posting, crop it to 9:16, add captions, export. Then do it again for the next one.
Clip Nugget handles that on your own computer.
What it does
- Suggests clips. It reads the transcript and points you to the parts with a strong opening line.
- Crops to vertical. Face tracking keeps the speaker in frame, so you don't have to set keyframes by hand.
- Adds captions. Whisper transcribes the audio locally, and the captions are burned into the video with the style you pick.
- Renders on your GPU. Nothing gets uploaded, there's no render queue and no monthly minute limit.
Why we built it to run locally
Cloud clipping tools charge per minute because they're paying for GPU time. You already have a GPU. Running everything on your machine also means unreleased footage stays on your disk, and a three-hour recording costs the same as a three-minute one.
